  • In shear wall reinforcement calculation, design moments were being computed based on the maximum M2 and maximum M3 values and their corresponding Nd values (per TBDY Article 7.6.6); the analysis has been revised to also consider the most unfavorable M-N pairs (such as low Mr at low Nd combinations).
  • When the shear wall Ve value was negative, since it was smaller than Vr and Ve max (positive values), it was passing the check. Comparison has been enabled to use the absolute value of Ve.

  • The error rate in finite element shear force was being calculated from the difference between the sum of shear forces of vertical load-carrying elements (shear wall/wall and column) on the lower floor and the sum of floor shear forces. This was causing incorrect large error rate warnings in buildings with base beams or timber bracing on the lower floor. Prevented unnecessary/incorrect warnings by comparing the sum of floor shear forces with support reactions.

The penalty parameter should be taken at a high value that does not produce error messages in finite element analysis. For example, 10,000 for reinforced concrete and masonry buildings, and 250 for timber-beamed structures.
  • After element groups were assigned, they were not being saved to the data file. Enabled group assignments to be saved to the project data file and used in subsequent sessions.
